Privacy Policy
Your data.
Handled with care.
Last updated: June 2026. This policy applies to all visitors to knowmytrade.com and all customers of the Know My Trade service, wherever located.
What we collect
Your name, email address, plan selection, and the tradebook files you upload. Plus payment metadata returned by our payment processor (transaction ID, amount, status — no card numbers). We collect nothing else — no analytics, no tracking pixels, no third-party advertising data, no cookies beyond a session cookie set by the payment processor during checkout.
How we use it
Your files generate your personalised report. Your email delivers that report and any support correspondence. Your name personalises the report.
We also derive aggregated, de-identified statistics from the trades we analyse (for example, distributions of win rates, holding times, or instrument usage across many traders). This aggregated data does not identify you and is not personal data; we may retain, publish, and commercialise it, including by providing market insights to brokers and other partners.
We will only share information that identifies you — such as your email address — with third parties such as partner brokers if you have given explicit opt-in consent at checkout. If you do not opt in, your identifiable data is used only to produce and deliver your report. You can withdraw consent at any time.

Retention and deletion
Your original uploaded tradebook files are deleted within 24 hours of report delivery — we do not keep your raw broker statements. Your name and email are retained for up to 24 months for support, tax, and refund-window purposes (longer if you have opted in to partner communications, until you withdraw). Payment records are retained as required by applicable tax and accounting law (typically 5–7 years).
Aggregated, de-identified statistics derived from your trades are not deleted and may be retained and used indefinitely, because they no longer identify you. We do not sell or share data that identifies you with third parties except (a) the sub-processors listed below, (b) partners such as brokers where you have given explicit opt-in consent, or (c) where required by law.

Data sharing & sale
Aggregated & de-identified data: we may share, license, or sell aggregated insights that cannot reasonably be linked back to you (e.g. behavioural trends across our trader base) to brokers, exchanges, researchers, and other commercial partners. This is not personal data and does not require your consent.
Identifiable data (opt-in only): we will share your email address and related contact details with selected partner brokers, or use them to send you partner offers, only if you tick the optional consent box at checkout. This is never a condition of buying a report, and you can withdraw at any time by emailing us — after which we stop sharing your details and remove you from any list we control. We do not share your individual raw trade data with these partners.

Sub-processors & data location
We use two sub-processors:
Razorpay (India entity) processes payments. Razorpay is PCI-DSS Level 1 certified. We never see or store card data.
Zoho Mail receives the order notification email — your name, email, plan, payment receipt, and tradebook attachments — at our team inbox. Tradebook files are stored on our own server only until report delivery.
By using the service, you consent to transfer of your data to these processors. Each has its own privacy policy at razorpay.com/privacy and zoho.com/privacy.html.

Your rights
Regardless of where you live, you may at any time:
— access the personal data we hold on you,
— request correction of any inaccurate data,
— request deletion of your data,
— withdraw consent for processing,
— request a portable copy of your data (machine-readable format),
— lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
If you are in the EU/EEA or the UK, GDPR Articles 15–22 apply. Our lawful basis for producing and delivering your report is performance of the contract you enter when you order. Any sharing of your identifiable data with partner brokers relies on your explicit consent, which you may withdraw at any time; our use of aggregated, de-identified data relies on legitimate interests. If you are in California, CCPA/CPRA rights apply: to the extent any partner sharing counts as a "sale" or "sharing", it happens only with your opt-in, and you may opt out at any time by emailing us with the subject "Do Not Sell or Share". We do not sell or share the personal information of anyone who has not opted in.
To exercise any right, email support@knowmytrade.com with the subject "Data request". We respond within 30 days.
